Harvest Moon SNES: Maps and Locations

Getting to know the locations is important in a game. But here, since there are only a few to remember and almost everyday you tend to visit these "locations" it'll be easy for you to memorize it. And I'm pretty sure these maps will become useless when you are playing the game for at least one (1) week.

FARM Map

The FARM Map shows your farm layout. This is where Jack, the main character which you as the paler controls, resides. There is a barn, chicken coop, tool shed and.. wood shed, etc.

1. Secret Garden: As you may notice, in the beginning of the game, this garden is empty. There are only tilled lands but no plants or whatsoever. This is because this garden is for Power Berries. Depending on how many Power Berries you have found/eaten the same number of flower will bloom or grow here. Maximum of 10 PB/Flowers/

2. House: This is your house. This is where you can go to bed and save your game via writing in your diary. If you get married you and your wife will live here. As well as your babies. The number of available upgrades for your house is two (2).

3. Wood Shed: It is the place where your chopped tree stumps are stored. A maximum of 999 is stored here. Each tree stump is equals to six (6) amount of woods, which can also be used as a fence.

4. Horse Stable: The name itself, this is where your horse sleeps once you acquired it.

5. Cow Stable: Again the name itself explains it. When you buy your cow, your cow lives here. You can feed them here, brush and talk to them. This is also the place where they rest when pregnant. Maximum

6. Silo: This is the place where your pastured grass/fodder is stored once cut it.

7. Chicken Coop: Chickens you bought or incubated will be placed here. This is actually their home but you can let them go outside and they will eat on their own the sad part is that they wont lay eggs. Maybe Koro eats them? Haha. Maximum of 12 Chickens. You can feed them here.

8. Shipping Bin: All things that can be sold can be placed in this bin. Take note of the time because the shipper comes exactly at 5pm and the things you put here after that time wont be sold even for tomorrow. There are also available shipping bin inside the Barn and Chicken Coop.

9. Tool Shed: Your tools are all placed here. And also a book about the tools is available for you to know how to use them and when to use them.

10. Pond: There are actually many of them in your farm. This pond is where you can refill your watering can when you run out of water. You can throw rocks, weeds, woods, and anything that you can carry to permanently delete/remove them.

11. Secret Well: This well, in the beginning of the game, is closed and covered by a big rock that cannot be destroyed by your hammer. Wait until an earthquake occur in summer and the rock covering it will disappear. You can go inside it and check whats inside :)))

MOUNTAIN Map

The MOUNTAIN is where some villagers spend their days. You can go Fishing at the Fishing Pond, visit the Cave (mine there during the Winter), Chop Tree Stumps, Find Produce, and Visit the Spa. Time happens to fly by quickly when you are visiting the Mountain.

1. Goddess Pond: This is where to Goddess resides. In the start, this area is impossible to enter because of the big rock that's blocking it. But after the earthquake this area is accessible, visit the pond and the Goddess herself will appear. When you are asked if what she's holding is your axe, answer no because it is not really yours. And as a reward for being honest, she will give you a Golden Axe.

2. Cave: It is basically a useless place to go to. A few herbs can be found here, and an event where Eve (when she reached a certain number of hearts in her diary) will ask you for your help to save her Granpa will also occur here.

3. Carpenter's House: If you ever think of upgrading your house, talk to the carpenter inside the house. He will go to your farm and check if you have the money and the materials to upgrade your house.

4. Fisherman: Talk to the Fisherman here if you want to fish. He will let you use his fishing rod but won't give it to you permanently. After talking to him, go and sit/fish in the right side where there is a rope. Fish can be sold to the peddler and to the shipper (put it inside the Bin).

5. Hot Spring: Just like in real life hot spring, it relaxes your character and restores stamina. Whenever Jack drained his stamina and can't even use the watering can to water crops, you can jump in in the hot spring 10x to restore your 100% stamina.

Also in the mountains, you can find fruits, herbs, and mushrooms to sell.

TOWN SQUARE Map

This is the Town where most everything happens. The Majority of the villagers spend their days somewhere around town.

1. Mayor's House: This is the Mayor's Mansion where the Mayor, Mayor's Wife and Maria live.

2. Church: This is the Church where the Priest and Church Boy live. Maria spends most of her time here. Come to church on Sundays to pray.

3. Flower Shop: This is where Nina's Mother and Nina live. Come here to buy Seeds and flowers.

4. Market: Sell all of your produce here on the weekends to the Peddler.

5. Fortune Teller's House: This is where the Fortune Teller and her Grand Daughter live. Come here to learn things about Love, Farming, and Animal Care.

6. Bar: This is where the Bartender, Eve, Eve's Mom, and Eve's Dad live. It is closed on Sundays. Come here at night after 6:00 PM to get a quick drink after a long days work.

7. Restaurant: This is where Ellen, Ellen's Dad, Ellen's Mom, and Ellen's Grandfather live. Buy Cakes here which you can eat or give away to the villagers.

8. Tool Store: This is where Ann and Ann's Father live. Come here to buy Tools and other Items.

9. Livestock Store: This is where Ellen's Uncle lives and works. Come here to buy or sell Animals and other items.
